About the position

The Regional Store Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a group of Spectrum Paint stores within a specified geographic area. This role involves managing store managers, ensuring financial performance, and implementing corporate policies and procedures. The position requires strong leadership skills to motivate staff and maintain high customer service standards while also handling staffing issues and customer complaints.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages stores located in their respective region.
  • Responsible for the profit and loss within the region.
  • Expected to meet the financial projections for the region on an annual basis.
  • Directly responsible for hiring area operation managers and store managers.
  • Assists with hiring assistant store managers and approves transfers within the region.
  • Responsible for the training and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Resolves scheduling and personnel conflicts not handled at the store management level.
  • Handles customer complaints and assists with staffing issues around vacation schedules.
  • Supervises the preparedness of stores to service customers effectively.
  • Conducts one-on-ones and annual evaluations with store managers.
  • Reviews inventory and financial statements monthly with each store manager, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Reviews store staffing levels to ensure consistency in meeting financial projections.
  • Serves as a positive liaison between the corporate office, operations, and the region.
  • Ensures proper inspections of physical stores are conducted.
  • Identifies high potential employees for future roles within the company.

Requirements

  • Previous management experience is required or strongly preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
  • Excellent customer service skills and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to coach, provide feedback, and resolve conflict.
  • Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem solving & planning skills.
  • Basic computer skills and cash handling/cashiering skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays as needed.
