About the position
The Regional Team Leader (RTL) for the Water Services Group (WSG) is responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of employees in the Southeast region. This role focuses on fostering career development, ensuring quality in project delivery, and maintaining operational efficiency while delivering exceptional client experiences. The RTL will also be involved in recruitment, performance appraisals, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of employees to achieve optimal performance.
- Support employees' career journeys by identifying training and professional development opportunities.
- Select suitable mentors for team members as part of the Career Compass Mentoring Program.
- Celebrate team milestones such as work anniversaries and promotions.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Leverage intellectual property and participate in Community of Practice activities.
- Recruit, interview, and hire new employees to support project workload.
- Deliver quality client experiences and instill ownership of work product quality within the team.
- Coordinate workload and utilization goals for team members.
- Manage profit margins and coordinate technical staff assignments with the TDM.
- Provide sales support as needed and approve time sheets and expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with training and QA/QC procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
- Professional engineering (PE) license.
- 10 years of related experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to promote a high-performance culture and drive staff engagement.
