About the position

The Regional Team Leader (RTL) for the Water Services Group (WSG) is responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of employees, ensuring optimal performance and career development. This role involves engaging with team members, managing project workloads, and delivering high-quality client experiences. The RTL will also be involved in recruitment, performance appraisals, and compliance with safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of employees to achieve optimal performance.
  • Communicate and engage with team members to support their career journeys.
  • Participate in team members' career paths, including training and professional registration.
  • Select suitable mentors for employees as part of the Career Compass Mentoring Program.
  • Celebrate team milestones such as work anniversaries and promotions.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Leverage intellectual property and participate in Community of Practice.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire new employees to support project workload.
  • Deliver a legendary client experience with a focus on quality.
  • Instill personal ownership for work product quality within the team.
  • Coordinate workload and utilization goals for team members.
  • Manage profit margins delivered by the team.
  • Coordinate with Technical Delivery Managers for staff assignments.
  • Provide sales support as needed.
  • Approve time sheets and expense reports promptly.
  • Ensure team members complete required training on time.
  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC and Health & Safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience in project management within the water services sector.
  • Strong understanding of business metrics such as utilization and project profitability.
