About the position

The Regional Team Leader (RTL) for the Water Services Group (WSG) is responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of employees, ensuring optimal performance and career development. This role involves engaging with team members, managing project workloads, and delivering high-quality client experiences while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The RTL will also be involved in recruitment, performance appraisals, and operational tasks to support the team's success and the company's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of employees to achieve optimal performance.
  • Communicate and engage with team members to support their career journeys.
  • Participate in team members' career paths, including training and professional registration.
  • Select suitable mentors for employees as part of the Career Compass Mentoring Program.
  • Celebrate team milestones such as work anniversaries and promotions.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Leverage intellectual property and participate in Community of Practice activities.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire new employees to support project workload.
  • Deliver a high-quality client experience and instill ownership for work quality.
  • Coordinate workload and utilization goals within the Technical Services group.
  • Manage profit margins and coordinate technical staff assignments with the TDM.
  • Provide sales support as needed and approve time sheets and expense reports.
  • Ensure compliance with training and QA/QC procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business metrics such as utilization and project profitability.

  • Experience in managing diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles.
