About the position
As a Van Midwest Regional Fleet driver at Roehl Transport, you will be responsible for hauling largely no-touch freight across the central part of the United States. This position offers a predictable schedule with weekly home time, typically for 48 hours, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance. You will have the opportunity to increase your income by becoming a Driver Trainer or by referring other drivers to the company.
Responsibilities
- Haul no-touch freight to various locations in the central U.S.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to safety regulations.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding load assignments and schedules.
- Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- Participate in training programs to become a Driver Trainer if desired.
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) required.
- Experience in truck driving preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to operate a truck safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with dispatch and customers.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a Driver Trainer or willingness to train others.
- Familiarity with the central U.S. routes and locations.
