About the position
As a Van Midwest Regional Fleet driver at Roehl Transport, you will be responsible for hauling largely no-touch freight across the central part of the United States. The role emphasizes getting drivers home weekly, typically for 48 hours, and ensuring they are informed about their next load in advance. There are opportunities to increase income by becoming a Driver Trainer or by referring other drivers to the company.
Responsibilities
- Haul no-touch freight to various locations in the central U.S.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load assignments and schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections.
- Participate in training programs to become a Driver Trainer if desired.
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) required.
- Experience in truck driving preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to operate a truck safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with dispatch and customers.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a Driver Trainer or willingness to train others.
- Familiarity with the central U.S. routes and locations.
