About the position

The Regional Vice President of Agricultural Lending provides strategic leadership of the retail sales team in achieving portfolio growth while maintaining sound loan quality and credit administration. Leading, coaching, and developing Financial Officers to deliver an exceptional customer experience through the delivery of financial services consistent with regional, state and association goals.

Responsibilities

  • Leads by modeling values, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, encouraging and enabling others to act.
  • Establishes and maintains a positive work environment that promotes continuous learning, development, recruitment, and retention of highly effective employees.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with leaders across the association to support the overall customer experience and sales delivery.
  • Provides strategic leadership for the overall customer experience/relationship, sales delivery and credit function for the assigned region.
  • Achieves results through remote leadership of team members throughout their assigned region.
  • Leads and coaches others, setting team's direction, evaluating performance, exercising management authority in performance, compensation and other employment decisions.
  • Leads the region's business development plan, marketplace analysis and marketing plans.
  • Aligns regional goals and results measured by sales numbers, credit quality, credit administration, effective servicing and financial results to the state and association goals.
  • Grants authorities, sets standards, evaluates performance, corrects deficiencies, coaches and develops skills, effective and efficient review of credit analysis, regulatory compliance and procedural compliance.
  • Monitors the quality of loan portfolios, establishing and granting lending authorities as well as reviewing loans.
  • Conducts joint sales calls and credit administration reviews to coach and develop sales team members.
  • Establishes and maintains internal and external relationships while participating in Association and industry organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, agriculture or related field.
  • 4 to 6 years Professional experience in financial services, agricultural sales and/or credit experience.
  • At least two years in a leadership role or having demonstrated skills to lead a team.
