About the position

The Regional Vice President of Operations for the Chicagoland area is responsible for overseeing the quality of care in skilled nursing facilities, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and supporting facility management. This role involves training and guiding administrators, managing budgets, and addressing resident and family satisfaction while maintaining high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each Administrator is prepared for successful state inspections.
• Complete census and competitive analysis reports for the region accurately and timely.
• Provide training, support, and guidance for each Administrator and overall facility needs.
• Implement company policies and procedures and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Review incident reports and follow up notes to ensure proper reporting and documentation of state reportable incidents.
• Attend facility meetings and work cooperatively with management and care team members.
• Hire, train, and manage the management team assigned to the regional community.
• Plan, assign, and direct work, evaluate performance, and manage employee rewards and discipline.
• Address complaints and resolve problems within the region.
• Review financial and budget transactions, assist with budget development, and maintain budgetary control.

Requirements

• Long term care management experience preferred.
• Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA).
• Minimum 3 years of management experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• General knowledge of professional basic nursing, restoratives, and personal care services.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and correspondence.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
