About the position

The Regional Vice President of Operations at Westcare Inc. is responsible for the overall leadership and operational performance of the Texas operations. This role involves setting goals, monitoring work, evaluating results, and ensuring that departmental and organizational objectives align with the company's mission. The position requires strong leadership skills to attract, retain, and motivate staff while fostering productive relationships with community leaders and stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes overseeing revenue generation, preparing budgets, and developing business plans to maximize organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Preside over Texas operations
  • Set goals, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure departmental and organizational objectives are met
  • Attract, retain, and motivate staff
  • Supervise assigned staff and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Provide leadership on internal issues as they arise
  • Work alongside community leaders, executive directors, major donors, government officials, and senior staff/board members
  • Ensure productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization
  • Oversee revenue generation and identify ways to maximize revenue
  • Prepare budgets and analyze financial reports in coordination with Zone staff and accounting staff
  • Develop business plans and lead new business opportunities
  • Participate in and nurture networks of alliances to exchange knowledge and support change initiatives
  • Promote WestCare's image, services, mission, and vision
  • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation
  • Perform other relevant duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in top-level management of a large social service organization
  • Master's Degree or equivalent in Administration, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation, or related field preferred
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
  • Ability to operate a computer and complete documents in Microsoft Word
  • Ability to respond efficiently to crisis situations
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially regarding confidentiality
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare's vehicle insurance
  • CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test
