We are currently looking to add a Regional Vice President of Operations to our corporate team. This position has been designated as a “Great Place to Work” for 2023, and we are committed to maintaining this title in the years to come. As the Regional Vice President of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of assigned communities. This includes managing financials, human resources, licensure compliance, daily operations, and census development, while ensuring that the assigned communities comply with corporate policies and federal/state regulations. The role may require significant travel to meet the needs of the assigned communities. In this position, you will establish a community financial management system through P&L reviews in collaboration with the Corporate Senior Management Team and compliance reviews to ensure that all business office policies and procedures are accurately maintained. You will regularly review marketing plans with Executive Directors to ensure that services meet the needs of the local community and that financial and census targets are achieved as budgeted. Additionally, you will assist in establishing each community's annual operating budget and capital expenditure plan as required by corporate policy. Excellent time management skills are essential, as you will be expected to complete tasks within company time frames. You will provide organizational structure and ensure effective and efficient daily operations. Developing and reviewing monthly and quarterly plans for each community will be part of your responsibilities to ensure progress is being made on initiatives that are not in compliance with company policies and procedures or the community's business plan. In the event of vacancies in the region, you may act as a temporary or interim Executive Director. Setting up and maintaining an organized and effective communication process between and among communities and between the region, communities, and corporate will be crucial for open exchanges of issues, problem-solving, peer discussions, and general information exchange. Recruiting, hiring, and training Executive Directors will be part of your role, as well as serving as an ongoing resource for these key team members. You will be responsible for the professional growth and improved management skills of Executive Directors and community managers through mentoring and training. Setting a good example and fostering team spirit between community and corporate staff will be essential. You will assist community personnel in developing and maintaining training and service improvement programs that meet established community policies and goals as designated by state regulations. Ensuring that each community maintains substantial compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations will be a priority to assure licensure and relevant certifications, as well as to attain the highest external recognition for care and services rendered in the community. Overall leadership and administrative responsibilities for the operation of the assigned communities will be assumed by you, along with providing performance improvement counseling and training as required. You will also utilize community marketing software programs effectively to monitor occupancy, admissions, discharges, and rental rosters, ensuring that the assigned communities complete weekly occupancy and activity reports that are distributed to the appropriate individuals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a regional capacity.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L management and budget development.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to develop Executive Directors and community managers.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Nice-to-haves
