About the position

The Regional Vice President of Operations at Héroux-Devtek is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the profit and loss (P&L) of the Central region's operations, which includes critical machining operations for major commercial and military aircraft programs. This position involves managing teams, optimizing processes, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining customer satisfaction. The role requires a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, while also managing a significant budget and driving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Guide and oversee all strategic operations initiatives including engineering, processing, assembly, machining, method, maintenance, quality, program management, and supply chain for landing gear programs.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs while ensuring high-quality and on-time deliveries.
• Establish performance objectives and monitor key performance indicators (KPI).
• Maintain good customer relationships and drive sales renewal, expansion, and new opportunities.
• Promote a collaborative working environment focused on performance and innovation.
• Manage performance processes for direct reports and participate in strategic succession planning.
• Establish quality control processes in line with aerospace standards and technical specifications.
• Support strategic management of Health & Safety and Environmental programs.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize assembly and machining methods.
• Oversee the global P&L for the Central region and recommend cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, finance, or business.
• At least 5 years in a similar level position, ideally in the Aerospace field or with complex products.
• Strong leadership skills to manage a multi-site organization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in developing growth strategies in a similar industry.
• Strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
