About the position

The Regional Vice President Operations at YesCare is responsible for overseeing the healthcare delivery system within the Eastern Region, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and managing the financial performance of the region. This role involves collaboration with medical and administrative staff, recruitment, budget management, and coordination of health services across institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work in accord with Medical Directors and Superintendents to fulfill contractual requirements.
  • Interrelate and work effectively with medical, dental, nursing, security, and administrative staff.
  • Manage assigned staff and coordinate the healthcare delivery system within the region.
  • Develop the contract services budget for all institutions within the region.
  • Manage the financial performance of the region and report monthly to the Area Vice President.
  • Meet with the Superintendent or designee to liaise services within the institutions in the region.
  • Recruit employees and independent contractors as needed, with assistance from HR.
  • Assist with screening, interviewing, and orientation of YesCare management personnel in the region.
  • Coordinate with hospital administrators for service delivery at hospitals outside of institutions.
  • Negotiate third-party contracts for institutions within the region when appropriate.
  • Coordinate the implementation of annual in-service training programs.
  • Coordinate the annual health services planning process.
  • Serve as chairman for the annual contract plan performance evaluation meeting.
  • Make recommendations for service improvement to the Area Vice President.
  • Participate in MAC meetings and attend YesCare management meetings at the Central Office.

Requirements

  • Master of Health Administration (MHA) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License.
  • 8+ years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in employee evaluation.
