About the position

The Regional Vice President Operations for Eastern Region at YesCare is responsible for overseeing the healthcare delivery system within correctional facilities. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with medical and administrative teams, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. The position requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to improving healthcare services in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Works in accord with the Medical Directors and Superintendents to fulfill contractual requirements.
  • Interrelates and works effectively with medical, dental, nursing, security, and administrative staff.
  • Manages assigned staff and coordinates the healthcare delivery system within the region.
  • Develops the contract services budget for all institutions within the region.
  • Manages the financial performance of the region and reports monthly to the Area Vice President.
  • Meets with the Superintendent or designee to liaise services within the institutions in the region.
  • Recruits employees and independent contractors as needed, with assistance from Human Resources.
  • Assists with the screening, interviewing, and orientation of YesCare management personnel in the region.
  • Coordinates with hospital administrators for service delivery at hospitals outside of the institutions.
  • Negotiates third-party contracts for the institutions within the region when appropriate.
  • Coordinates the implementation of annual in-service training programs.
  • Coordinates the annual health services planning process.
  • Serves as chairman for the annual contract plan performance evaluation meeting.
  • Makes recommendations for service improvement to the Area Vice President.
  • Participates in MAC meetings and attends YesCare management meetings at the Central Office.

Requirements

  • MHA, MBA or equivalent RN with 8 plus years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Management experience relative to a healthcare setting is required.
  • A background check, security clearance, and drug screening are required.
