About the position

As the Regional VP, Investment Analytics you will lead the development of actionable knowledge-driven insights and analyses in marketing optimizations. You will oversee the building and leverage findings from marketing mix models. You will provide strategic recommendations to key business stakeholders that are grounded in statistics, partnering with key stakeholders to drive insights derived from business goals. The ideal candidate for this position should have an analytical foundation in Marketing, with experience working with: Cross channel attribution, Marketing mix/media mix modeling, Top-down/bottom-up attribution modeling, Regression analysis - specific linear regression/log-linear regression, Forecast modeling, and Marketing optimization. You will lead complex data science solutions, mentor team members, drive multi-capability presentations, and take ownership of KPIs. Join us in our mission to deliver data-inspired excellence!

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration and Impact: Consistently collaborate with other Jellyfish teams to ensure that team skills have a positive impact on project outcomes.
  • Data Science Advocacy: Dedicate time to explaining and championing the use of data science methodologies such as Media Mix Models, Causal Impact Studies, and other statistically sound testing approaches.
  • Communication and Leadership: Effectively communicate strategy, progress, and plans to respective leadership groups.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Growth, Client Management, and other capabilities to plan solutions required to deliver for global Jellyfish clients.
  • Product Pitching: Allocate time to pitch new and existing Data Science products to both new and existing clients.
  • Visionary Leadership: Articulate a compelling vision for how predictive analytics and AI can further enhance Jellyfish products and services over the next two years.
  • Accountability: Be accountable for individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Testing Framework Development: Outline a yearly plan for testing frameworks on the top 20 clients.
  • Thought Leadership: Be a Jellyfish thought leader, providing support both internally and externally.
  • Case Study Development: Curate and create case studies highlighting instances where mathematics and data science have been central to enhancing client performance.
  • Team Development: Share innovative ideas and experiences to develop and grow other Jellyfish teammates.
  • Capability Growth: Provide strategic development and growth of the Investment Analytics capability.
  • Partnership Development: Work closely with platform partners to grow the suite of mathematical techniques for Media Mix Models.
  • Inspiring Vision: Inspire team members to align with Jellyfish's global initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ Years of experience in a marketing analytics role; 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Masters or above in Statistics or a similar mathematically inclined degree
  • Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc.
  • Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig
  • Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Good scripting and programming skills
  • Robust knowledge of statistical modelling and machine learning techniques
  • Strong experience with descriptive statistics and visualization tools
  • Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab, etc.
