About the position

The Regional Vice President (RVP) of Central PA at Caron Treatment Centers is responsible for advancing fundraising efforts and enhancing the engagement and growth of the Regional Advisory Board (RAB) within the region. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to meet fundraising goals, manage high-level prospect meetings, and ensure effective communication and coordination with the RAB and other departments. The RVP will also represent Caron at special events and oversee the execution of major philanthropic events.

Responsibilities

  • Advance Caron's fundraising and Regional Advisory Board (RAB) engagement efforts in Central PA.
  • Oversee the management and growth of the RAB, including coordination of meetings and recruitment of new members.
  • Serve as the liaison between the RAB and Caron Treatment Centers.
  • Collaborate with the RAB on regional board goals that align with Caron's strategic plan.
  • Work with the Vice President of Regional Advancement and Chief Development Officer to meet fundraising goals.
  • Coordinate high-level prospect meetings with the President and CEO, ensuring they are well-prepared.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects in the region.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Alumni Coordinator to develop a pipeline of new major gift prospects.
  • Participate in monthly Major Gift and Regional Development meetings.
  • Update Salesforce with relevant notes and activity regarding fundraising efforts.
  • Lead and coordinate the annual dinner to achieve fundraising goals for the event.
  • Represent Caron at area special events involving key donors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of fundraising experience.
  • Experience with major gifts and special events strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors and Special Event Committees preferred.
  • Knowledge of the region's business and civic community is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivation are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant computer programs is necessary.
  • Broad understanding of addiction treatment is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • A meaningful connection to addiction and recovery is preferred but not required.
  • If in recovery, 1-2 years of continuous sobriety is preferred.
