The Regional Wildlife Biologist - Landowner Sportsmen Coordinator position at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game involves managing and protecting Idaho's wildlife resources. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between landowners and sportsmen to facilitate wildlife management efforts.

  • Educate the public and stakeholders about wildlife resources and conservation practices.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to promote wildlife stewardship.
  • Participate in outreach programs to engage the community in wildlife conservation efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience in wildlife management or conservation practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare reports on wildlife populations and habitat conditions.
  • Knowledge of state and federal wildlife laws and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Wildlife Biology or a related field.
  • Experience working with landowners and sportsmen in a conservation context.
  • Familiarity with GIS and wildlife tracking technologies.
