About the position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Redwood Family Care Network is a vital role focused on providing support and training to individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those with co-occurring mental illnesses. The RBT will work under the general direction of the Administrator and will be responsible for assisting individuals in their day-to-day activities, monitoring their behavior, and collecting data on their progress. This role requires a strong understanding of person-centered planning principles and the ability to implement skills training plans, including adaptive skills training, social skills training, community integration training, and functional skills training. The RBT will also strategize with consultants to create engaging home and community activities for the individuals they support. In this position, the RBT is expected to ensure the supervision, safety, and well-being of individuals at all times. This includes providing continuous active treatment programs tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring the implementation and documentation of Individual Service Plans (ISP), and participating in the development and evaluation of these plans. The RBT will monitor and support the health and well-being of individuals, reporting any observations to the Administrator or District Manager. Daily documentation of individual status, behavior, and treatment responses is a critical part of this role, as is maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. The RBT will engage in quality training and positive interactions with individuals, promoting their learning, growth, socialization, and independence. This includes helping to develop daily activities that are skill-building, therapeutic, and recreational, both within the home and in the community. The RBT is also expected to adhere to the company's active treatment philosophy and organizational policies, attend regular staff meetings, and participate in continuing education and training. Building relationships with other departments, staff, and external agencies is essential, as is going above and beyond for the individuals and staff they interact with.
