About the position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Centria Autism involves working one-on-one with children with autism to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The role is focused on using evidence-based techniques to teach essential skills while reducing challenging behaviors, making a significant impact on the lives of children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
  • Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
  • Reduce interfering behaviors in children with autism.
  • Work one-on-one with children, providing support and encouragement.
  • Maintain a patient and compassionate demeanor while working with children.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities provided by the company.

Requirements

  • Valid RBT Certification (to be obtained after onboarding).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification and pass a Tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
