About the position

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Divine Speech/Language Services involves providing specialized support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. The role focuses on implementing behavior plans, teaching communication skills, and fostering meaningful changes in clients' lives. Responsibilities

• Assisting in restructuring environments and activities to support the clients' behaviors
• Teaching skills that allow the individual to communicate and/or function more effectively
• Reviewing behavior plans and other instructional materials developed by behavior analysts
• Facilitating consistent implementation of the behavior plan and monitoring outcomes
• Implementing behavioral procedures for acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors
• Collecting data as prescribed by a recipient's behavior analysis service plan
• Communicating openly with behavior analysts and regional coordinator
• Completing daily progress notes related to implementation of the intervention plan

Requirements

• Completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certificate, or willingness to enroll and complete RBT coursework within the first 30 days of job offer
• Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) preferred
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Proven ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds
• Experience in working with individuals on the autism spectrum, or other developmental disabilities
• Clear level-two background check
• Verifiable work references

Nice-to-haves

• Applied Behavior Analysis experience (1 year preferred)
