About The Position
Our multi-specialty dental practice specializes in Oral Surgery and Pediatric dentistry, operating in Salinas, Watsonville/Freedom, and Santa Cruz. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) who can adapt to our fast-paced environment and is dedicated to their work. The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational skills and be considerate of the needs of both patients and the surgical team. Personal grooming and hygiene are essential to achieve a professional appearance. As an Oral Surgery/Pediatric Registered Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of duties that include administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, charting, and filing, as well as pre-surgical preparation, surgical assistance, and post-surgical documentation. You will prepare and arrange the necessary tools and materials for every surgical procedure, ensuring that the operating room is ready in adherence to established protocols for patient safety and efficient workflow. Communication with patients about their procedures is crucial, as is the ability to follow infection control protocols when preparing and sterilizing surgical tools and materials. In addition to surgical duties, you will monitor patient vital signs during surgery, provide pre and postoperative instructions, and maintain meticulous records of operative reports, anesthesia records, and billing tickets. Your attention to detail will be vital in logging anesthetics inventory and maintaining regulatory logs for temperature, autoclave, and disinfection. This role requires a commitment to professionalism and the ability to provide excellent patient care even during stressful situations.
