About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Navasota Dental. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks, such as radiology, medical coding, and dental receptionist duties. You will utilize 3D scanner technology to assist in dental procedures and provide patients with a more comprehensive understanding of their oral health. Working closely with the dental team, you will ensure efficient and organized care while maintaining a clean and organized treatment environment. Additionally, you will assist with pediatric dentistry patients, providing a gentle and caring approach to ensure their comfort and satisfaction. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems will be essential as you assist with data entry and retrieval. You will also demonstrate a commitment to aseptic technique, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in dental assisting is required.
  • X-Ray Certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dental receptionist duties and experience with medical coding.
  • Familiarity with X-ray technology and ability to assist with radiology procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized treatment environment and adhering to aseptic technique.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dental team and provide exceptional patient care.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in pediatric dentistry or a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in using dental systems and software, including Epic.
