About The Position

The Registered Nurse 2 position at Dameron Hospital involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients and their families in a safe environment. The role requires assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care, while functioning as a proficient nurse within the assigned unit. The nurse will lead the nursing care team, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and must comply with safety protocols and participate in the Respiratory Protection Program.

Requirements

• Education required to qualify for license as a registered nurse; B.S.N. preferred.
• 12 months of experience within the last three years in the specialty area for RN III qualification.
• Demonstrate basic and advanced CVICU clinical competencies, including EKG rhythms by exam.
• Current California Registered Nurse License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through AHA.
• Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
• Certification as critical care nurse (CCRN) within two years of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients and their families.
• Provide effective leadership and direction to the nursing care team.
• Ensure patients' comfort, safety, and personal care.
• Perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas as needed.
• Employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures.
• Participate in the Respiratory Protection Program.
