About The Position

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) at Baptist Health South Florida is a licensed professional responsible for delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner. This role emphasizes the mastery of core competencies such as assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, and leadership. The DPC RN utilizes evidence-based practice standards to ensure quality, safety, and service in patient care.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Nursing or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year acute Cardiac Telemetry experience with cardiac drips.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior PACU experience preferred.
  • Completion of a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent for independent practice.
