About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Alta View InstaCare KidsCare is a licensed professional caregiver responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. This role is pivotal within the care delivery team, which is led by a physician, and requires specialized knowledge and skills pertinent to the needs of ambulatory care patients. The RN utilizes the nursing process, integrating technology and therapeutic interventions while coordinating care with other health team members. The position is part-time, with a budgeted 20 hours per week, and operates during specific hours: Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday/Sunday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with the schedule to be determined. In this role, the RN will perform critical assessments of patients' physical, social, and psychological statuses, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans. The RN will direct the care team through effective delegation and coordination, ensuring that patient responses to interventions are evaluated and plans of care are revised as necessary. Professional development is also a key component, as the RN is expected to promote the nursing profession, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards. The role demands a commitment to ongoing professional development and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
