About the position

The Registered Nurse Alternate Administrator will lead the home health care agency in Florida, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with Medicare regulations. This role involves overseeing operations, developing policies, and fostering a patient-centered environment while managing clinical staff and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall operations of the home health care agency, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, particularly Medicare guidelines.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency and promote high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure that patient care plans are developed and implemented effectively, meeting the unique needs of each client.
  • Monitor clinical performance and outcomes, driving quality improvement initiatives as necessary.
  • Stay updated on changes in Medicare regulations and ensure agency compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Prepare for and participate in agency surveys and audits conducted by regulatory bodies.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor clinical staff, fostering a culture of professional development and excellence.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on best practices, Medicare requirements, and agency policies.
  • Act as a primary contact for patients and families, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction with services provided.
  • Promote effective communication among patients, families, and the care team.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate billing practices and adherence to Medicare reimbursement guidelines.
  • Assist in budget development and resource allocation to support agency operations.

Requirements

  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health care, with at least 1 year in an administrative or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare regulations and home health care standards.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare technologies.
