The Registered Nurse position at Emory Ambulatory Surgery Center focuses on providing high-quality preoperative and postoperative care to patients. This position is integral to maintaining the high standards of care expected in a Magnet-designated ambulatory practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, dependable, and effective care to patients using the nursing process.
• Apply the Synergy Model for Care to personalize care for each patient and family.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Document the nursing process accurately in the appropriate format.
• Utilize patient and family input in planning the plan of care.
• Evaluate patients' responses to planned care and adjust the plan as necessary.
• Advocate for patients based on knowledge of their conditions and needs.
• Consider cultural differences in developing patient and family relationships.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
• Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in designated departments.
