About the position

The Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator (RNAC) is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents to ensure appropriate reimbursement for care and services provided within the York Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. This part-time role involves conducting MDS reviews and overseeing the documentation process to integrate various healthcare services for optimal patient assessment and reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Conducts concurrent Minimum Data Set (MDS) reviews to ensure achievement of optimal allowable Resource Utilization Group (RUG) category.
• Oversee the overall process and tracking of MDS/Prospective Payment System (PPS) documentation and submission.
• Integrate nursing, dietary, social recreation, restorative, rehabilitation and physician services to ensure appropriate assessment and reimbursement.

Requirements

• Current, active license as Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• One year of clinical experience.
• Experience with MDS completion, reimbursement, clinical resource utilization is highly desirable.
• AANAC Certificate strongly recommended.
