About The Position

The Registered Nurse for Cardiac Rehabilitation at Williamson Medical Center is responsible for assessing and evaluating the physical and psychological well-being of cardiac rehab patients. This role involves monitoring exercise plans, helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals, and coordinating nursing care in a timely manner. The nurse will also participate in data collection for patient outcomes and ensure patient satisfaction while providing education to patients and their families about recovery and wellness.

Requirements

• Valid RN License in the State of Tennessee or Compact State.
• Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
• Proficient in EKG interpretation.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Prefer experience in outpatient cardiac rehab.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in educating patients and families on risk factor modification for heart disease.
• Ability to work well under pressure and function independently.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the physical and psychological well-being of cardiac rehab patients.
• Monitor and implement exercise plans to help patients achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Participate in data collection for patient outcomes and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Exhibit exercise leadership skills and educate patients/families on recovery and wellness.
• Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' conditions and needs.
• Develop plans of care based on patients' history and medical diagnoses.
• Conduct and implement exercise prescriptions according to AACVPR and Williamson Health guidelines.
• Administer patient medications and monitor their effects as needed.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation and provide regular patient reports to referring physicians.
