About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiac Telemetry at Intermountain Health is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans. This role emphasizes the importance of compassionate communication, collaboration with healthcare teams, and adherence to professional guidelines to ensure high-quality care for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address patients' psychological and physical needs.
• Foster quality of care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind.
• Communicate compassionately and effectively with patients and families.
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines.
• Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs.
• Participate in clinical team conferences to discuss patient care.
• Follow hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire.

Nice-to-haves

• ACLS/NRP/PALS certification as appropriate for unit or service.
