About the position

The Greer Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking two experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for the Ventura Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). This full-time position involves providing medical treatment and personal care services to veterans, ensuring high-quality patient care and collaboration with healthcare team members. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to lead in a patient-centered environment, fostering effective communication with patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured veterans.
• Document observations, assessments, and changes in patients' conditions.
• Collaborate with health team members to facilitate positive patient care outcomes.
• Deliver a full range of nursing care to patients with various physical and/or behavioral problems.
• Lead by example in defining a customer service culture and ensure respectful treatment of all customers.
• Cultivate partnerships with customers to develop solutions that meet their needs.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
• Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a state, territory, or commonwealth of the U.S.
• Proficiency in basic written and spoken English.

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
