About the position

Sidney Health Center is seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our I CARE team in the Surgical Services setting. This full-time or part-time position involves essential duties such as assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating surgical perioperative care, which includes pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) responsibilities for both pediatric and adult patients. The role requires the RN to perform OR circulating duties and provide on-call PACU coverage as needed. As a member of the Surgical Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a positive surgical experience for all patients. The position offers a comprehensive orientation and training program, making it suitable for RNs with no prior experience in the operating room. Responsibilities

  • Assessing patients' needs before, during, and after surgery.
  • Planning and implementing patient care in the operating room.
  • Evaluating patient outcomes and adjusting care plans as necessary.
  • Performing OR circulating duties during surgical procedures.
  • Providing on-call coverage for the PACU as needed.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana or a compact state.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications required.
  • No prior experience required; comprehensive orientation and training will be provided.
