As a Registered Nurse at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a clinic setting. Under the guidance of the Practice Manager or Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting with patient education, administering treatments and procedures as directed by the provider, and ensuring that all patient encounters are documented accurately in the electronic health record (EHR). Your role will also involve triaging patient calls, including managing prescription refills according to established protocols. You will be expected to exemplify professionalism and serve as a resource for other clinical staff members, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient care and customer service. In this position, you will adhere to policies and procedures related to patient medications and testing, ensuring compliance with established standards. You will engage in electronic communications with patients, participate in huddles to review patient information, and coordinate care with appropriate referrals and follow-ups.
