About the position

As a Registered Nurse in the Neurology Clinic at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare and are committed to the holistic well-being of their patients. You will work under the direction of the Practice Manager/Clinical Supervisor, assisting with patient education and providing support during examinations and treatments. Your responsibilities will include administering procedures and treatments as directed by the provider, as well as managing patient calls, including prescription refills according to established protocols. In this hybrid role, you will have the flexibility to work either Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with one or two days remote, or you may opt for four 10-hour shifts in the office. This position is full-time and primarily day shifts, allowing you to maintain a work-life balance while contributing to the health and wellness of the community. Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Clinical Supervisor.
  • Assist with patient education and support during treatment and examination.
  • Administer procedures and treatments as directed by the Provider.
  • Handle triage of patient calls, including prescription refills according to refill protocols.
  • Document all patient encounters appropriately in the electronic health record (E.H.R.).
  • Coordinate patient care with pertinent referrals and follow-ups in compliance with established standards.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for patient medications and testing.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing
  • 2 years of clinically relevant experience
  • Kansas Registered Nurse License
