About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a neurology clinic setting. The RN will assist with patient education, support providers during examinations, and manage patient triage and electronic health records. This role emphasizes whole-person care and requires strong customer service skills, as well as adherence to established protocols and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Clinical Supervisor.
• Assist providers during patient examinations and treatments.
• Administer procedures and treatments as directed by the provider.
• Handle triage of patient calls, including prescription refills according to protocols.
• Document all patient encounters appropriately in the electronic health record (E.H.R.).
• Serve as a resource and example for other clinical staff members.
• Coordinate patient care with referrals and follow-ups in compliance with established standards.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing.
• 2 years of clinically relevant experience.
• Kansas Registered Nurse License.
