About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Clinical Supervisor. The role emphasizes whole-person care, focusing on the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of patients. The RN will assist with patient education, support providers during examinations, and manage patient communications, ensuring adherence to established protocols and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Clinical Supervisor.
• Assist providers during treatment and examination of patients.
• Administer procedures and treatments as directed by the provider.
• Handle triage of patient calls, including prescription refills according to protocols.
• Document all patient encounters appropriately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Serve as a resource and example for other clinical staff members.
• Coordinate patient care with pertinent referrals and follow-ups.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing
• 2 years of clinically relevant experience
• Kansas Registered Nurse License
