About the position

The Registered Nurse, Dialysis PRN position at ScionHealth involves providing professional nursing care to patients requiring renal replacement therapy in a specialty hospital setting. Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in need of renal replacement therapy.
• Document patient's physical assessment, vital signs, treatment reviews, and observations in medical records.
• Evaluate and implement dialysis orders as per physician instructions.
• Analyze patient assessments, dialysis orders, and laboratory results, discussing issues with the nephrologist.
• Communicate emergencies and patient life-threatening complications to the supervisor and physician.
• Initiate and discontinue prescribed renal replacement therapy, ensuring safety measures are in place.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse / RN license in the state of practice required.
• Current CPR certification through American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year dialysis experience in an acute care or chronic setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required.
