About the position

The Registered Nurse/Dietician/Nutritionist position at Blue River Services, Inc. (BRS) is a full-time role based in Salem, IN. The primary responsibility of the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in this role is to complete the INWIC (Indiana Women, Infants, and Children) application certification procedure and maintain accurate documentation. This involves evaluating clients' nutritional status and determining the nutritional risk of participants. The position requires providing nutrition education, implementing nutrition education plans, and offering counseling to clients. The ideal candidate must be a Registered Nurse or a Dietitian, with a strong preference for those who have experience in family services, public health, or maternal and infant nutrition, including breastfeeding support. In addition to the technical skills required, the role demands excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to facilitate discussions with clients effectively. The candidate must be able to work independently, demonstrate flexibility, and practice professionally in a manner consistent with legal and ethical standards, including adherence to WIC regulations. Responsibilities

  • Complete the INWIC application certification procedure and documentation.
  • Evaluate client's nutritional status and determine nutritional risk of participants.
  • Provide nutrition education and implement nutrition education plans.
  • Offer counseling to clients regarding their nutritional needs.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with clients and team members.
  • Facilitate discussions with clients to address their nutritional concerns.
  • Work independently and demonstrate flexibility in job duties.
  • Practice professionally in accordance with legal and ethical standards, including WIC regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse or Dietitian.
  • Experience in family services, public health, or maternal infant nutrition and breastfeeding preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and properly insured vehicle required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
