About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Singing River Health System is a full-time role focused on providing high-quality patient care in the nursery department during night shifts. The RN will utilize the Nursing Process to assist patients in attaining, maintaining, and restoring health, while adhering to established nursing standards and guidelines. This role requires living within 30 minutes of the facility and includes responsibilities such as patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the MS Nurse Practice Act.
• Assist patients in attaining, maintaining, and restoring health.
• Perform assessments and develop care plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality care delivery.
• Maintain certifications and complete required training in specialty areas.
• Supervise LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, and Unit Technicians.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted Mississippi State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
• Minimum of one (1) year of inpatient clinical experience within the past five (5) years.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a nursery or pediatric setting.
• Additional certifications such as NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
