About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation is responsible for providing high-quality patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, treatment, and services within the scope of their license, certification, or registration.
• Complete yearly mandatory competencies and unit-specific competencies as required.
• Solicit and validate patient/family satisfaction and participate in peer review.
• Ensure understanding and adherence to safety practices expected by the organization.
• Communicate effectively and appropriately with patients and team members.
• Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and sound judgment in patient care.
• Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Engage in self-development and continuing education to maintain competence.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Minimum of 5,616 hours of RN experience required for advancement to this level.
• Current RN License in Virginia or eligibility to practice pending licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from an AHA approved provider.
• Reliable means of phone communication with the hospital.

Nice-to-haves
