The Float Pool position at Albany Medical Center involves providing comprehensive nursing care across various departments. Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and administer medications.
• Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests.
• Document treatment as required by company policy and regulations.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Experience in a clinical nursing role.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Ability to assess patient needs and develop care plans.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience in emergency care or critical care settings.
