About the position

The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) is responsible for providing professional nursing care in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act and HCHD Nursing Service standards. This role involves independently managing patients with common clinical issues, recognizing when to seek assistance, and applying clinical standards and principles effectively.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage patients with common clinical problems in the assigned area.
• Recognize when assistance is needed and seek appropriate resources.
• Apply nursing standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations.
• Provide care in accordance with the Texas Nursing Practice Act and HCHD Nursing Service standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
• Basic Life Support certification from an AHA or Red Cross approved program.
• One year of full-time RN experience or completion of a Graduate Nurse Program.

• Exceptional writing and composing skills for correspondence and reports.
