About the position

The position at Sutter Health involves providing both direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families. This role utilizes the nursing processes which include comprehensive patient assessment, the development and implementation of nursing care plans, patient education, and ongoing evaluation of care. The nurse is expected to deliver holistic and individualized care to all patients within their assigned area. This includes developing, implementing, and coordinating an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care that takes into account various factors such as psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle considerations. In addition to patient care, the nurse will foster and maintain collaborative relationships with patients, their families or support groups, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Effective communication is essential to ensure timely and effective interactions. The nurse must adhere to policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote a quality and highly reliable patient experience. Continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice is also a key expectation of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Two years of relevant nursing experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing theories, concepts, and practices.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Experience in a clinical setting with diverse patient populations.
  • Familiarity with safety precaution policies and best practices regarding patient care.
