About the position

Regions is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time, day shift position in our Infusion Clinic. The role involves providing professional nursing care in a collaborative environment, focusing on oncology care and infusion therapy. The nurse will coordinate care, administer chemotherapy and other intravenous medications, and ensure patient-centered care in accordance with established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation.
  • Function in a care coordination role addressing patient needs and communicating with various healthcare staff.
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and other intravenous medications in the chemotherapy infusion room.
  • Demonstrate a caring and competent manner to instill patient confidence and contribute to a patient-centered environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in nursing with one year of RN experience, or completion of a bachelor's degree in nursing, or master's degree in nursing.
  • One year of hospital nursing or equivalent experience required.
  • At least one year in oncology care or outpatient oncology clinic setting, or at least one year of infusion therapy experience.
  • If no previous oncology experience, must be willing to obtain biotherapy/chemotherapy certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Minnesota.
  • BLS through AHA certified program.

Nice-to-haves

  • Recent experience in chemotherapy administration preferred.
