About the position

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) position at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a faith-based environment. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, effective communication, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction. The RN will be responsible for delivering care consistent with hospital standards and supporting the overall goals of the Nursing Service.

Responsibilities

• Provide care consistent with hospital accountabilities and Standards of Practice.
• Deliver patient-centered nursing care using the SHARE principles.
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Maintain cooperative relationships among healthcare teams through effective communication and participation in problem-solving.

Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) years recent experience in a tertiary hospital setting (minimum 100 beds).
• A U.S. Nursing License or passing the NCLEX RN Exam.
• IELTS Academic Score of 7 in Speaking / 6.5 Overall, OR TOEFL iBT Academic Score of 26 in Speaking / 89 Overall, OR OET, OR Exempt by CGFNS Visa Screen Certificate for Visa Sponsorship.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification as per unit requirements.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic computer skills.
