About The Position

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery is responsible for providing high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing care to patients during their labor and delivery process. This role involves direct clinical patient care, coordination of patient care, and supervision of nursing staff, ensuring adherence to established safety standards and protocols. The position requires working full-time night shifts and is focused on delivering compassionate care to patients and their families.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law in the state of practice.
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP may be required based on unit policy.
• Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective nursing care to all patients.
• Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control.
• Administer medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Perform all HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed by the facility during emergencies.
• Know the Hospital's emergency codes and adhere to policies and procedures for each emergency code.
