About the position

The Nurse Liaison serves as a primary contact for designated healthcare facilities, focusing on maintaining communication and conducting on-site pre-admission screenings. This role involves marketing through personal interactions and professional education, specifically targeting adult and geriatric populations. The position requires specialized training and expertise to effectively serve these age groups, ensuring compliance with departmental competency standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison to designated healthcare facilities.
• Conduct on-site pre-admission screenings for patients.
• Maintain communication with healthcare providers and facilities.
• Engage in marketing activities through one-to-one contacts.
• Provide professional education to healthcare staff and stakeholders.
• Deliver patient care and services to older adolescents, young adults, adults, and geriatric populations.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• Negotiating skills to interact effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients/families, case managers, and social workers.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• CCRN certification preferred, to be obtained within 3 years of working on the Rehab unit.
