Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Wound Care Center, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care and managing intake and discharge processes for patients scheduled at the center. Under the direction of the Wound Care Center Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care while adhering to Healogics policies, hospital standards, and regulatory guidelines. In this role, you may also serve as a Case Manager for a group of assigned patients, which involves performing initial nursing assessments, communicating findings with physicians, assessing wound stages, documenting care plans, and evaluating patient status in relation to desired outcomes. You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, provide education to patients and caregivers, and advocate for patients in the delivery and coordination of care. Additionally, you may perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties and collaborate with other healthcare providers to address clinic and patient needs. This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
