About the position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Carroll Hospital is a critical role within the Nursing Department, responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients and their families. The RN will utilize independent judgment and collaborate with team members to develop and implement nursing care plans, monitor patient progress, and prepare patients for discharge. This role requires effective communication and supervision of care delivery by the nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients and their families through the application of the nursing process.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans utilizing established clinical pathways.
• Delegate patient care activities based on patient needs and team skills.
• Supervise the delivery of care by the nursing team.
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and revise care plans as needed.
• Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Completion of coursework from an accredited nursing school (less than 2 years).
• Preferred: 1 year of medical/surgical experience.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider certification.
• RN - Registered Nurse license.
• NIHSS - National Stroke Association NIH Stroke Scale certification.
