About the position

The Registered Nurse in the Med Surge/Telemetry department is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients, coordinating care planning with other healthcare disciplines, and ensuring that the psychosocial and physical needs of patients are met. This role requires quick and accurate responses to changes in patient conditions and effective communication with physicians regarding patient status and treatment outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within the assigned department.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Determines priorities of care based on patients' physical and psychosocial needs.
• Communicates with physicians regarding changes in patient's status and diagnostic results.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state Registered Nurse Licensure within the state.
• Current BCLS certification.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS or ENPC certification required.
