The Registered Nurse (RN) at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission plays a crucial role in coordinating care for patients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and utilizing the nursing process to enhance patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Coordinate the efforts of the multidisciplinary care team for patients.
• Provide direct patient care and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to maintain and improve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate leadership and management skills in patient care.
• Act as a role model for the mission, vision, and values of Shawnee Mission Health.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to established policies and procedures.
• Participate in bedside shift report, safety huddles, and multidisciplinary patient rounds.

Requirements

• Kansas Registered Nurse License
• BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or obtained within 4 years of employment
